The 2026 edition of the GMTK Game Jam brought together more than 10,000 entries, each made in 96 hours around the theme “COUNT DOWN”.
Our entry, Montic, turns the countdown into a strategic resource.
We built a turn-based tower defense where placing or upgrading monkey turrets spends the remaining turns and advances the time-eating termites. Montic received 60 ratings and ranked #39 in Audio, #77 in Enjoyment, #154 in Artwork and #190 in Creativity.
Monkey defenses protect spacetime from waves of termites.
